Achievements Outside of School

We are always interested to hear about all the exciting things our pupils and students do outside of school. We know that so many are involved in clubs and charities and contribute greatly to the wider community.

If your son/daughter has something they would like to share, please do drop us an email to pupilservices@sweynepark.com, so that we can include a short article in the ߴýTimes, accompanying photos are always welcome!

This can relate to a sporting event, charity work, a project they have been involved in or an interesting experience they would like to share. The ߴýTimes and our are great forums in which to celebrate all the fantastic successes and achievements of our pupils and students.

Thank you, in advance, for your support.

Extra-Curricular Activities and Clubs

As well as outside of school, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in a whole range of extra-curricular clubs here at Sweyne Park.

We endeavour to run a great variety of activities to suit all different ages and interests.

These include art clubs, sports clubs, craft activities, music and drama clubs and even a recently started “Retro Gaming Club” for Years 7 and 8.

Click here to see our full list of extra-curricular clubs.

If you would like to know more, please contact Pupil Services on pupilservices@sweynepark.com.

“Welcome to…” Events

Many thanks to all of the parents/carers who came to the Year 7, 11 and 12 Welcome Events this week. All were very well attended and provided an indication of the engagement of our parent/carer community.

I hope that you found the information shared gave you a real understanding what is involved in these particularly important years and how, as parents/carers, you can support your son/daughter to achieve the very best possible outcomes at all stages of their education. lead up to their external examinations.

The Welcome to Year 10 event will take place on Monday 16th September, starting at 6.00pm. I know that the Year 10 Team are very much look forwarding to seeing as many parents/carers there as possible.

Open Evening

Just as a reminder, we are holding our annual Open Evening on Thursday 19th September and school will finish at 12.30pm to allow time for staff to prepare.

We are very grateful to the huge number of pupils and students who have volunteered to help out as Tour Guides, Parking Attendants or Departmental Helpers.

If your son/daughter would like to be involved, but does not yet have a role, please do encourage them to speak to their Head of Year.

As always, our pupils/students are our greatest ambassadors.

And Finally…..

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine.
